Privacy Policy
This policy explains how EdgeGym ("we", "us") handles information in the EdgeGym mobile app (the "App") and at gym.edgesoftwares.com (the "Website"). EdgeGym is an offline-first gym management app with cloud sync.
Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, gym name and a hashed password. An account is required to use the App.
Gym data you enter. Members (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, date of birth, health and emergency-contact details you choose to record), membership plans and subscriptions, payments and invoices, attendance, trainers and staff logins (with salted password hashes), workout and diet plans, classes and bookings, products and inventory, leads, expenses and gym settings. This data belongs to you. We store it only to provide the service.
Photos and files. Member, trainer, product and receipt images you attach are uploaded to your account.
Subscription information. If you subscribe through Google Play, we receive purchase tokens and subscription status from Google Play to unlock Pro features. We do not receive or store your card or payment details.
Technical data. Our servers keep standard logs (IP address, request time, app version) for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
How we use information
- To run the App: sign-in, syncing your data between devices, backup and restore.
- To verify your subscription status and enforce plan limits.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account or service changes (for example email verification and password reset).
We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Where your data lives
The App works offline and stores your data on your device. Data is sent to our server when you are online and signed in, over HTTPS, so it can be synced and restored on a new phone.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to operate the service (such as hosting and email delivery) and Google Play for subscription verification, or when required by law.
Permissions
- Internet access: to sign in and sync.
- Camera / photos: only when you choose to attach a picture to a record.
- Notifications: for membership-expiry and follow-up reminders.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated gym data inside the App (Settings → Account), or without signing in at gym.edgesoftwares.com/delete-account: we email a confirmation link to your account email. Deletion removes the whole gym, including uploaded files. Backups made by us are overwritten on our regular rotation.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data through the App. For anything you cannot do yourself, contact us and we will help.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, access uses short-lived tokens, and media is available only to the authenticated owner. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
Children
The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App or by email.
